About My Paintings
I mostly use archival
Rembrandt oil paints and prefer to paint on birch plywood or Masonite
board. Lately, I have been using Damar (Dammar or Daymar) varnish as a
painting medium and final sealer. I prefer to custom make my own frames
but will also purchase premade museum style frames as needed or
requested. Each frame is prewired (using screw eyes and stranded or
braided wire) for hanging. You may also easily remove the screw eyes and
install the flat/flush "Z" clips which are available at many
professional frame and art supply stores if preferred. My paintings may
also be purchased without the frame at a reduced rate, please contact me for details.

Born in Indianapolis, Robert moved to Pinellas County in 1986. Being from an artistic family, painting came naturally for him. His father, Judson, and brother, William, were well known realist painters in Indiana. Robert enjoyed professional instruction by Elmer Taflinger and Carl Weinhart.
Robert began his painting career in his early
20’s. He was a regular exhibitor at the Talbot Street art fair and for
many years was a mainstay at the artist’s corner on Antiques Alley in
Nashville, Indiana. During the 1970’s he owned Art Treasures Limited
gallery and antiques store in Nashville. He enjoys a tremendous
following in Florida and throughout the Midwest. ¯ Florals, Still Lifes and Nudes
